ENVIROS organized an international conference on Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS)

The European project B.R.A.V.E.R. Mid-Term Conference took place on 17 May 2018 in conference venue of Hotel International in Prague. The event was hosted by the Czech project partners – Czech Ministry of Environment and company ENVIROS.

The conference presented development and achievements of LIFE B.R.A.V.E.R. project, which is focused on full integration of EMAS in EU environmental legislation and on removal, reduction and simplification of the administrative costs and burdens for EMAS registered organizations as a way to encourage the adoption and dissemination of voluntary environmental certification.

More than fifty participants from 23 European countries listened to the presentations given by policy makers, environmental experts, EMAS verifiers and B.R.A.V.E.R. partners on the topic of EMAS regulatory relief.

Mr. Michelle Barberio, the project manager of  B.R.A.V.E.R., introduced in his presentation the objectives and history of the project, other partners presented the projects results – proposed regulatory reliefs – of their countries. The delegates were interested and active and between the presentations, asked plenty of relevant technical and general questions. The event was finished by a final discussion moderated by Mr. Daniel Hajek from the Ministry of Environment, Czech Republic.

The delegates had a possibility to enjoy also a social part of the event. They took a guided tour to discover an interesting venue of the Hotel International, and continued by an informal dinner and music evening.
