The energy concept of the statutory town of Frýdek-Místek was developed in 2015 in the scope of the Government Decree No. 195/2001 Coll. with regard to the amendment to Act No. 406/2000 on Energy Management and Government Decree No. 195/2001 Coll. The most significant output of the energy concept was the assessment of heat delivery from the central heating system and its sustainability from the point of view of its price, technical condition of the system and sources with regard to the way of heat production and used fuels. Obligatory character of  energy concept conclusions and obligatotory character of energy savings measures designed for  the energy concept update implementation are based on the legislation in force for spatial planning, energy sector and  air protection. The concept was approved by the statutory town council.
