In the time period 2013 – 2015, ENVIROS coordinated and also cooperated in the project of development of Medium-term strategy to improve air quality in the Czech Republic (further as Strategy). The Strategy was developed on the basis of requirement of EC (European Commission) to prepare a general concept of air quality management in the Czech Republic for the reason of long lasting low air quality in the CR region. This requirement was formulated as the crucial base material for approval of Operational Programme Environment (OPE) 2014-2020, priority axe 2 (Improvement of air quality in human settlements).
Besides the Strategy document itself submitted to the EC, a set of medium-term strategy documents was developed necessary i.a. to define areas of support in 2014 – 2020. The documents are as follows:
- National Air Pollution Control Programme of the CR (NPSE) till 2020
- Air Quality Plans (PZKO) in 7 zones and 3 agglomerations whose preparation is based on the provisions of § 8 and 9 of the Air Protection Act, and requirements of the Directive no. 2008/50 / EC on ambient air quality and cleaner air for Europe
- Financial analysis for Operational Programme Environment (priority axe 2)
The work, whose output was 95 separate reports, was produced in collaboration with a broad team of experts: ATEM – Ateliér ekologických modelů, s.r.o., Bucek, s.r.o., Ing.
