Our environmental and renewable energy consultant, Strahinja Mladenović, Ph.D. has succesfully finished the project with UNDP BIH and UNDP CZE and helped to transfer Czech know-how for improvement of biomass utilization in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The objective of the Project “Biomass Energy for Employment and Energy Security in Bosnia and Herzegovina” implemented by the UNDP Country Office in Bosnia and Herzegovina is the long-term CO2 emissions reduction and improvement of living standards done by supporting the wood biomass use through strategic action, establishment of market value chain framework and raising public awareness on the positive aspects of utilization of this energy source.

The purpose of the consultancy is to transfer Czech knowledge in sustainable wood biomass utilization by embedding lessons learned, adequate practices and practical recommendations within the “Guide on best practices and recommendations to increase utilization of wood biomass in Bosnia and Herzegovina” and to pave the way for practical use.
