Jones Lang LaSalle - Enviros

I originally began cooperation with ENVIROS in 2006 whilst working for King Sturge. The main cooperation with ENVIROS was Phase 1 Enviromental Audits which have formed part of the Technical Due Diligence package associated with the acquisition, sale, development or refinancing of an asset or parcel of land. More recently, I also came to ENVIROS to assist us with a US-based client who was entering the market with a clean room facility for medical purposes. The client was unable to negotiate the red tape associated with obtaining the necessary environmental approvals from the local authorities. ENVIROS were instructed to represent our client in this matter and managed to secure the necessary permits and approvals in the required time. There have been several large projects which ENVIROS have worked with me on, resulting in important purchases and disposals of properties and land. I would probably say that the most significant project was the clean room facility I mentioned earlier.  Both the client and myself did not have experience with the preparation of such detailed technical information relating to the environmental submission and therefore it was crucial that ENVIROS’ team led the process and told us what was required. I have always had a good relationship with ENVIROS which is why I continue to work with them.  For me, responsiveness and reliability are key factors which determine which consultants I work with. ENVIROS have always been willing to work to tight deadlines or quick requirements to commence a project and importantly have delivered on time. At Jones Lang LaSalle we represent a lot of international corporate clients who work in the field of production, therefore I see more cooperation relating to the EIA process being required in the future.  However, given the anticipated pick-up of the real estate transactional market I believe that Environmental Due Diligence will still play a large part in my cooperation with ENVIROS.
