When is an inspection mandatory for your organisation?
Are you the house owner or an association of owners and do you own or operate a boiler for heating with nominal output 20 kW or more? If yes, then an inspection is mandatory for you!
Why is the inspection mandatory?
This obligation is under the Act no. 406/2000 Coll., on energy management, as amended, and Decree no. 194/2013 Coll. on Inspection of boilers and heat distribution.
How often?
If you as a boiler operator have the license for heat production/heat distribution, the inspection is obligatory annually.
If you as a boiler operator do not have the license for heat production/heat distribution, the frequency of inspection is defined in Annex no. 5 of Decree no. 194/2003 Coll., It depends on the boiler output, type of fuel used and on the method of permanent monitoring of the system.
